ARSA 2022: DISAPPEARING OF COLLABORATION TOOLS

Dear Dev team,

Today (2021/06/28) I've installed the latest hotfix for Revit 2022, when I opened Robot I foud this ugly surprise:

all the default apps for comunication with other adsk universe softs are disappeared.

This thing do not happens with ARSA 2021, so, as temporary solution, I use ARSA 2021 to import the advance steel model in robot, then I open the created model with ARSA 2022, but it have to be fixed very very soon....

Could it be somethig that I've done wrongly???

Well, weird. I don't see Revit 2022.0.1 Hotfix on the updates list to uninstall.

We have contributed to the Revit hot-fix with some Extension updates.

Maybe it's a matter of some common components registration.  We need to check it.

Revit 2022 uninstall did not helped in my case.

Problem was solved in the following way.
- Uninstall Revit 2022 
- Uninstall Robot 2022
- Restart system
- Install Robot 2022 (options should be available).
- Install Revit 2022 (do not install Revit 2022 Hot fix 1 )

First of all thank you for you effort.

This is a very very bad workaround, I didn't yet tried to repair the Robot installation....to get a quickest solution.

Anyway, it's very strange that an Hotfix, that have to solve problems, it create a new big ones. I hope for a quick official solution, such as a new Hotfix for Robot that include all the past bugs....

The problem is caused by the fact that we deliver common components for Revit and Robot.  This component has been corrected and delivered with Revit 2022 Hot-fix 1.

Unfortunately this interfere with Robot 2022, some functionalities stopped working when the component is upgraded.  It includes:
- add-in menu is empty

- steel connection design is not working

- a few dialogs in RC Column design don't open

For the moment the only workaround is to reinstall Revit and Robot to the state before Revit Hotfix was applied.

Please refrain from installing Revit 2022 Hotfix 1 until we publish Hotfix for Robot.
Robot 2022 Hotfix 1 will correct the situation as we will upgrade the component as well.
We are working to deliver the hotfix as soon as possible.

We have a release candidate for the hotfix. We need to test the installation carefully along with Revit.  Then the release process is complex.

I think it will take a couple weeks.

I unistalled both revit and robot, deleted all files on C disk belowing to revit and robot versions.

Reinstalled revit first build version than robot, opened but still missing revit integration.

In first attempt i just reinstalled revit and robot, but that didn't work.

In second attempt i uninstalled all autodesk softwares, deleted all autodesk folders, all regedit files, did clean uninstall of autodesk compenents. Then installed robot, then revit without any updates, updates are showing as avaliabel in autodesk desktop app, but still no integration option. Maybe you can advice how to bring my revit analytical model to robot environment without remodeling? Or maybe we can manually copy some necesary files to robot installation folders?

I noticed that today 26.07.21. is released issue addin v2.1. for revit, maybe but in release notes there is nothing mentioned about robot integration, must it be installed?

When you uninstall Robot and Revit you may need to delete this folder as well:

"c:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Engine 2022"

Please, wait a while.  The hotfix will be delivered really soon.

This issue has been corrected with Robot Structural Analysis 2022 Hotfix 1.

RSAP 2022.0.1 Hotfix solved the problem but it stared again

after installing Revit 2022.1 Update.

I would uninstall Robot from Control Panel >Programs and features then install it Robot 2022 and then Robot 2022 HF1.

I still have this issue after updating all the products (like RSAP and Revit) to the latest versions. I've all the hot-fixes installed.

I've just re-installed RSAP and updates but still the same.

According our tests the following installation path can result in problem with addins

This is the critical sequence as Hotfixes were released, and brings the problem:

1. RVT 2022
2. RSA 2022
3. RVT 2022.HF 0.1
4. RSA 2022 HF1
5. RVT 2022.1

In this case Robot reinstallation usually helped.

Please see that there are two updates to Revit HF 0.1 (makes trouble) and HF1 which fixes the problems (together with Robot HF1).

The other source of problems can be incorrect Robot installation/registration,caused usually by

- Antivirus setting,

- limited user privileges while software installation

- Microsoft User Account Controll (UAC) option activated.

So please

Check if Revit HF1 (not only Hf 0.1) is installed. If it (Revit HF1) was installed before Robot reinstallation,  I would suggest Revit and Robot reinstallation.

Please try the following

- Uninstall Revit and Robot hotfixes from Control Panel >Programs (at least Robot HF should be available for uninstall in Updates section). 

- Uninstall Revit and Robot hotfixes from Control Panel >Programs 

then 

- log to account with admin privileges

- disabe UAC option

- disable (temporary) Antivirus system

- reinstall software neglecting Revit HF 0.1 instllation.
