The message is (roughly translated from German):
This document save cannot be executed because background calculations are currently being executed.
The file in question is being edited with Revit 2024 and is no central file. The grey sun symbol on the bottom right corner of the screen states that there are no background processes currently going on.
In older versions of Revit there was a similar message that could be remedied by killing the 'revitworker' process. The files then were central files though.
There is enough disk space on system drive C:, the pc has 64 GB RAM and did save the same file prior to the situation without issues. The backup count is currently at 181. We did try to print the work done to have a basis to redo everything but printing produced the same error message. In the end we did the job again guided by screenshots of the crashed version.
Has Anybody run into this or a similar error? What is the best way of dealing with it?

There are a few previous posts with this exact issue. I would recommend taking a look into solutions or advice given the threads.
For my own future use: Open a random other file (.rvt or .rfa), ctrl+tab back to previous project and try saving again.
