Schedule for Precast Hollowcore

My company generally prefers to use the Beam System method to place hollowcore planks in Revit in order to discover pourback conditions in the slab.  We have never successfully gotten the planks to schedule accurately as beams, however.  I have tried to use a calculated parameter based on multiplying the Cut Length by the width but still get very different numbers as compared to a straight area calculation.  I am primarily interested in this number for pricing early on in the design, before we consult with a reseller for a quote.   Has anyone had this problem, or have input on how to schedule the Precast Hollowcore accurately?

Use the length instead of cut length

to get a schedule you need to create a structural framing shedule and filter for the joists.

Length measure the dimension from start point to end point of the beam (the points that you draw the beams from)

Cut length subtract the joined parts of the beam (for example,it measures from the face of column to face of column)

In your case ,you want the theoretical length which is "length"
However,in case you will use that length to calculate concrete volume ,it's better to use "cut length"

In general,I use cut length for concrete volume and length for rebar quantities.
