In some videos I heard that Revit are moving to BIM workflow. Maby someone could advice how to deal with steel assembly elements?
For detailing it's clear that we could use another software, to create steel shop drawings instead of Revit assembly functionality, but what you may suggest for BIM workflow?
One of leading BIM file type ifc format for exchange could not have final information about steel assembly elements.
In ifc viewers is option to switch between selection of individual elements (steel end plates, studs etc. information may be useful for steel fabricators or someone else), or select entire assembly element to see weight or another information (on site necessary information). For precast elements assembly functionality are working well but for steel elements cant't find workaround if using Steel tab functionality. Can anybody help?
