Model in place adjustments

Hi all,

I have a question regarding the way revit works with other autodesk applications.

I work with advance steel which I then model in place in revit, but sometimes my orientations are not correct, it then gets corrected manually by me in Revit either by rotation or the move tool, but here comes the doozy!

After the correction in placement, maybe something needs to change or needs to be swapped out with other parts, but with me correcting the orientation earlier nothing seems to model in place in the correct positions(the corrected orientations) even if they are linked to their counterparts!

Any thoughts????

I believe the issue relates to the coordinates. Some software does not work with coordinates and north orientation, but they all work with the internal origin. Always try to use the internal origin position and reference when exchanging 3D models between software.
