Issue in Loading Symbol Family that have multiple filled region

I have a family that have collection of visibility parameters and Filled Region. While importin the family in the Revit, it automatically many visibility parameters and does not show any filled region.

error is: An error occurred in family "Symbol with filled region" and was automatically resolved, but may require review by the family creator. Error Information: "Can't form arc alignment." Error Resolution: Delete Element(s)

You need to review the Family as only the P3 version works and you get errors trying to switch to either P1 or P2!

I would possible suggest the arcs are not constrained and when size changes occur do not move correctly so cannot form the filled Region

It may be worth Starting with the working P3 and working Backward to create P1 & P2 and keep testing during the process.

Deleting P1 & P2 the P3 works as expected when importing into a Project

I had a chance to look a little deeper;

From Switching between P3 & P2 i got the error below

Clicked Cancel - Then from the Manage Tab > Inquiry Panel > Select by ID - I searched for the ID 8672

Then used the Temporary Hide/Isolate Tool to Isolate said Element and you can clearly see the issue at hand.

P1 references this ID many times so solving for P2 will get you there too!

Once seen you can now clearly see the issue - Fixing that boundary now solves all the errors

Thank you for your reply @jay_colcombe

Will i am not import family with filled region made of arcs/circles?

Also when i import the family to Revit, filled region is blank. I cannot see pattern in Revit Project.

Is this your own created Family?  The reason i ask is that the family you supplied does not look finished, if you look the differences in the Types there is nothing ticked for Patterns for P1 & P2

@jay_colcombe Please turn on Visibility in Family and click Single check box at a time. Each check box represent a particular symbol.

@jay_colcombe

This family is Pile symbol family. When imported into project, Need to check one item(among all Visibility Parameters) to get the desired Symbol on Structural Plan.

Hi @jay_colcombe my current issue is solved. Instead of aligning filled region boundary to other geometry. i bounded filled region's arc to a type parameter. Thank you

Your original issue was the error on loading the other issue was a usability issue so was not the solution to the the original error so not sure if readers will get that which is important when looking for answers to questions.

I assume you mean you simply "assigned" the Visibility of the Hatches/Patterns to the Type Parameters (Concentric Pile) rather than Instance Parameter's (Full-Pattern) which is what i suggested in my response on 11-28-2023 08:53 AM.

Again its good to clarify the solutions for others but glad it’s sorted..
