How to rotate an existing scope box align with near by element?

I couldn't find a way to rotate the Existing scope box align with nearby element.

That is the whole story, We cant delete existing scope box, it is already in use for multiple views. We just want to update it.

Still not that difficult.

- open a view associated with the rotated scope box, draw a ref plane horizontal or vertical in the view, intersect the element.  The ref plane aligns with the scope box exactly.

- open a view not associate with this scope box, you can see the ref plane and the scope box both rotated.  Rotated the scope box using my method bases on the orientation of the element and the red plane

Also, even if you need to recreate the scope box, applying the new one to multiple you takes a few seconds.

@khalid.ansari7A9T6 Let me Chime in Here. Both @ToanDN  and @jay_colcombe Are correct and I just want to add to their inputs to walk you thru the entire process from start to finish See steps and Video. I also had a blog post about this topic in 2013. The link is below 

You are not able to rotate it because you need the existing angle of the existing scope box and the extents of the scope box. 

So 

follow these steps (For the non Dynamo solution)

NAME EXISTING SCOPE BOX IF NOT NAMED ALREADY< I AM GOING TO CALL EXISTING SCOPE BOX ("EXISTING_SCOPE_BOX")

1. draw two grid lines parallel to global x global axis (Why use gridlines? because they are just sacrificial elements and gridlines have a parameter that will let you assign a scope box to them ((you could also use a reference plane)))
2. select the two new gridlines and  change The instance properties to "EXISTING_SCOPE_BOX"
3. select the new gridlines again and change the scope box to none. (this will shorten the gridlines)

((((NOTE IF FOR SOME REASON THE GRIDLINES DO NOT SHORTEN Simply drag the end to the dot at the intersections of the scope box)))

4. draw a gridline between the two end gridlines 
5. measure that angle and that is the EXISTING ANGLE of your scope box! (lets call it angle grid line)
6. draw two new new grid lines 1-parallel 1-perpendicular to the angle grid line that extends beyond the scope box
7. select the two new new parallel  and perp grid lines and change the scope box to "EXISTING_SCOPE_BOX" then back to none. (the reason to do this is the get the dimensions of the scope box.
8. NOW. Move the parallel and perpendicular gridlines to one corner. draw 2 more gridlines to make the entire scope box bound by gridlines if desired.
9. select the parallel and perpendicular gridlines AND THE EXISTING SCOPE BOX. MOVE AND then Rotate (MAKE SURE TO ROTATE WITH DISJOIN OFF or else it will create a new scope box) that scope box to the desired location. IN this example I moved it to the grid intersection. 

(note: is this alot of work? Yes! you have to use workarounds because Revit does not allow you to dimension or pick scopeboxes in the UI)

Here is a GIF of the steps I described earlier.  See how long it takes , including several of my missed steps (because I did it in one take).  If I would do it the second time without these missed steps and pauses, it would take less time than typing this response.

Draw a line from the edge of the object you want to align with in the scope box view. It will be oriented to the scope box alignment. Then select the line and the scope box. Rotate both (setting the rotation point to the intersection of the line and the object edge)to bring the line into alignment with the object.

Hello, 

Scope Box extents - better control
Please, please can we have better control over scope box extents? Once created a scope box has no edit sketch ability and won't respond to the align command. Basically you have nothing but very inaccurate dragging of control points with NO snapping.

We really need much better control. Even just being able to use align the top, bottom & sides of a scope box would give us the control we need.
Is it really not possible to align two Scope Boxes together?

Good afternoon,

Maybe my process for aligning scope boxes can help you:

1. Create a scope box (it doesn’t need to be aligned to the final position yet; we’ll do that later).

2. Open a floor plan and select the scope box to align the plan.

3. Draw a model line with the alignment of the scope box.

4. Open a 3D view.

5. Select the scope box and the 3D line and create a group (this is the key step).

6. In the floor plan, align the group (3D line and scope box) to the orientation you need.

Quizá te pueda servir mi proceso para alinear las scope box:

1.- Creamos una scope box (no es necesario alinearla a la posición final, lo haremos más tarde)

2.- Abrimos una planta y seleccionamos la scope box, para alinear la planta

3.- Dibujamos una línea de modelo con la alineación del  scope box

4.- Abrimos una vista 3d

5.- Seleccionamos la scope box y la linea 3d y creamos un grupo (aquí está la clave)

6.- En la planta, alineamos el grupo (línea 3d y scope box) a la orientación que necesites...
