How to fix joist to column connection in 3d?

Hello,

I have a little problem: when I place roof joists in my plan they look like this:

Which look correct and match our standards. But in 3D they look like this

As you see, the joists and girders joint inside the column. How can I make the ends of joist and girders stop at face of column without affecting how they look in plan?

Thanks

Hi,

You can drag the ends to the end face of the column or add a stop end point cut-off length at each end.

Thank you all for your suggestion.

@mphungDCHNW I tried to do that but it changes how the connection looks on the plan. Plus I had to do it for every single girder and joist. It was not working for me.

@barthbradley Thanks for pointing this function. When I tried it, It did nothing even after following the instructions in the link you posted.

I found an easier solution is to add few inches the Start Offset and End Offset. I can select multiple items and do this at once without changing how the plan looks.
