Hello, it is easy to create a beam ramp by creating a profile as slab edge and load into your project you can also apply parameters in the profile which can easily manipulate the dimensions. Thanks

The reason it snaps to below  is the -ve "Start and End Level offset" which you do not see in the properties palette when the slab is inclined ie: ramp.. Try it out on a horizontal slab and you will easily notice those offsets in the properties palette.

To acheive what you want to do you need to use the "Pick Line" instead of "Line". Otherwise when/if you use Line (start/end point) you need to

  1. add an Offset to the Z justification (which is equal to the -ve default offset in the Start/End Level)...
  2. adjust the Start Level offset and End level Offset to the top of the slab/ramp

Not the ideal solution for beams at ramps (easy for the structural but hard for the architects) ideally its best to have such beams modeled using "slab edge" or In-Place Component (using Blend Sweep or Sweep - category Generic of Structural Framing) but thats more work for the structural engineer when it comes to reinforcement.
