what is difference between Detail component & /Detail items

The details items and component both are 2d elements to be used in detailing purpose

there is family template for detail item but not for component. 

Can someone elaborate the difference what is been classified as items and components in 2d. My understanding is all studs, insulations, 2d nut /bolts are all come under components. breakline could b item. but once it loaded all comes under detail items in project browser

In this situation, the detail items and components are the same, only referred to by different names with the purpose of clasification in the library.

However, if you search for Detail items in Autodesk.com, the information that will show is about Detail Components instead, thus clasifying both under the same type of element.
