Revit Problems after Windows Update

Yesterday afternoon Windows had an automatic update install on my computer. After it was installed Revit became very slow. I have tried to uninstall the new updates, but when I think they are uninstalled it tells me to restart my computer then just reinstalls them. Any ideas how to fix this?

Depending on how you IT has things setup they could be forcing the machine to install the most current updates.  If this is not the case look up turning off automatic windows update for your specific operating system.

That's what I was thinking, where do I find that option? would it be in the update & security settings? I'm on Windows 10. Under advanced options, i tried to temporarily pause updates and defer them for a week. both times as soon as I restarted my computer it reinstalled the updates anyway.

Thanks for your help.
