"... disconnect ..." Error message when group of pipes copied to other levels

Hi all,

When I copy a 'group' of pipes, fittings and plumbing fixture to upper levels, an error message " Elements need to be disconnect" pops up . It disconnects all type of elements ... pipes, fittings and plumbing fixtures.

Why is it happening and what is the solution  ?

Attached are RVT file and screen shot of error message.

Hello,

One suggestion is to include the piping systems to the elements before making a copy.

Thanks for the reply.

But it pops up error message again.  " .....selected items will not be included in group ... "

Revit does not allow grouping of piping system.

Attached is screen shot of error message.

Hello,

Usually I use the save selection to copy, groups does not work well with MEP.

Checked all errors one by one. It almost disconnected all pipe fittings and floor drains.

Any idea, what to do to get answer from Autodesk directly ?

Have you tried pasting to current or selected levels without using groups?

Rob

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Yes, with out group, it works fine.

But, i want to do it in group because there are 9 levels. Group will help making revisions.
