I don't believe there is a way.

Hello,

Set the check for Rotate with element in the tag properties.

The image posted shows typical behavior when rotate with element is checked.

I understand its the typical behavior when rotate with component is selected. If this is the only way to make the annotation read bottom to top, is there a way to align it with the pipe? The annotation will not rotate and align with the angle of the pipe, so to be in the center.

I don't understand.

Your image shows the tags rotated and centered. Your original question seemed to be about the tags on pipes that are at an angle greater than 90 and less than 180.

Id like the tag to read from bottom to top in the centers of all the pipes

You need to word your request more carefully. You won't like the results for pipes like this:

Bottom to top.jpg

For the orientation that you exhibited in your image it is understandable but Revit doesn't do that.

Revit's pipe tag is slightly off center. You can edit it so that it is centered.

I'm pretty sure I worded my request accurately. If you don't understand, you don't have to respond.

Did you look at the image I posted?

If those tags read from the bottom up they would be upside down.

Be careful what you ask for and be sure about what you want before you ask.

I understand what you want but you are being too general in the way you are describing it and not taking into account all the implications. Think!

From bottom to top, as in my original image. I cannot explain it like im talking to a child. Obviously I don't want it to be read upside down. Your responses are not helpful so stop commenting on my posts.

Stop being so dense. You are oversimplifying your "request". Your issue is when a vertical pipe is past 90 degrees. You want the label to be rotated 180 degrees which technically is upside down when viewed from the bottom of the sheet.

At what angle between 90 and 180 would you consider it to upside down?

Hello,

Sorry to ask, I am not an english native speaking, and I would like to understand clearly your demand.

I understood that you need the tags to behave the exactly way of your picture, which, using rotate with the component does.

Is my understanding correct?

Or you want all tags oriented horizontally?

Or you need that the tags on the left side of your picture could be read on the opposite direction? This option is not possible.
