My Revit model is encountering errors when opening the project creates Irregular Piping connections from the Exiting Pipework

Hi, Any one can help on this error, when I'm opening the revit project I faced the error to delete the elements.

once the delete elements is given, I got the some irregular changes pipe routing sometimes its happen to the that entire floor.

Warnings that I noticed from the report:

"1. The family is connected in a network and can no longer keep the connectivity. Disconnect the family from the network?

2. The duct/pipe has been modified to be in the opposite direction causing the connections to be invalid.

The first time & before it was completely open and fully loaded we worked two levels. After the Error & the delete elements, model was open, But now pipe was all over the place. It was running diagonal through multiple floors. It was outside the building. It was deep underground. It looked like a something happen in model. We have the backup model to fix this issues, but if we copy the old one I will lose all the annotations relates to this two floors. we have around 15+ live models to work in this project, this is the second model that we got the same error. to avoid this error happening in remain models what should I do. we were worked around 10+ live models nearly three floors in each model.

I decided the best thing to do was to manually adjust the problem pipes. So I deleted the bad pipe and re-modelled it. I'm worried that If I encounter the same issues in other blocks means remain 18 models, that will not be quite as easy to fix. And I'm worried that I will lose a lot of my progress. Or worse - the entire project. I also have modeled Pipes in the other floors on this same file like ground & first floor, I haven't noticed anything wrong with it or misplaced anywhere. it happen only on the two floors the what we modified.

Have any of you encountered an error like this? Is there an easier way to  resolve this issues. Any help at all will be greatly appreciated.

My Project is cloud work-sharing model. and Build version is Revit-2019

Thanks

BR

Your question should be in the Revit MEP forum. You can report your own post and ask an admin to move it for you.

Hello,

Does your model use face-based components?

If yes, which is the model that has those faces?

Seems that some changes in the linked file may be causing your problems.

Hi,

I'm sure our model is not created with Face based components.

only Sprinklers and Pipes. Due to some reasons sprinklers are not created as a hosted component.

Also, no change in the links Arch, Str, M&E models. its freeze for the coordination.

Is there any reason because of slope in pipes?

Thanks for your time.

Hello,

Are the sprinklers level-based?

Hi yes, we have modelled as per levels. G+4 levels. But Sprinkler not hosted to any of objects, like levels, Face or Ceiling Host.

am I said correct answer.

Hello,
i faced the same issue in past,
at that time i turned off all linked model worksets using specify option & opened the model, model opened without any errors
then i removed all the links because when i turned on the workset same error comes again.
Now again i linked the models there is no error occurred after that
Maybe there will be minor change in arch or any other linked models which went unnoticed
Try this & let me know it its worked

Hi,

Yes, you are correct, we tried the same way, used specify options to address the issues. while switching on the linked model worksets the warnings came. After model open and it caused big changes to pipes. But I never tried to unload links. I will try these options too.

Thankyou.

Hello,
Try that option if it works kindly revert back
I hope you will get your model same as before.

It sounds like you have items hosted to linked elements. Unloading the links should cause your elements to become "unhosted" and make them stay in place.

Hello,

I am a student working on a two separate Revit files for a school project. One is a file containing architectural and structural components while the other contains all of my MEP components. I linked the files together and experienced this same issue with some of my plumbing. Could you provide more insight as to exactly how you resolved this issue?

Thanks!

Hi

Preview
you can try this.
It because of the Dimensions which is used in Revit plan / section / 3D views. Sometimes we use equal dimension for the Revit families / pipes or any elements in the model to fix them with center of room / center of ceiling tile / in the shaft, etc. after making equal, these dimensions are constrained with its associated wall / ceiling / column, something how the dimension is reference created. usually, you need to un constrain again those dimensions, otherwise whenever your link model got updates like wall position can changes or ceiling arrangement can change from square to rectangle or ceiling positions may change, because of these changes that constrain dimension will try to fix your object as same center of new wall / celling / room space. Try to delete all the dimensions which are used in WIP views if you developed sheets, (when you have sheets in model, you need to check each view to delete the constrain dimension) otherwise the second option is delete all dimensions styles which is in model, (this option will delete all dimensions from entire project).

Try this & let me know it works for you.
