Model into model

I have an Architectural model that I am linking into the HVAC so I can do the HVAC. We are also expecting a PLBG model seperately. Is there a way to link the PLBG model into the HVAC & explode it so we can work on it similar to Autocad. I know that if worse comes to worse I can have (2) seperate models & then link the plumbing into the HVAC & keep overwriting it but I would prefer to work in one model if possible.

Link in the plumbing model.

Select the link and Bind it.

It will come in as a group.

Select the group and ungroup it.

You may however find that some connections will disconnect when you ungroup, similar to this:
