Generic mech equipment cuts through floors when round and does not when rectangular. Why is that? Revit 2019.2.6

for what your doing, you can only control one void in a family. Voids do not have Visibility controls so only the circle (the item actually cutting the face in the family) is functioning.

@hmunsell It would not be a problem to subtract the entity from the floor if the floor were not so large that its edges were always off screen. So would it be better to have two separate (dumbed down) families, ie. one for round and another for rectangular holes rather than determining the shape by a yes-no parameter?
Making 2 separate families would be another option 😊.
I personally try to avoid using Voids as much as possible. But sometimes there necessary.
