Coordination review - Elements height changes

Hi,

I use "Copy Monitor" command for levels & grids in an electrical model (Revit 2023).

I received a coordination review alert, but when I try to move my levels to the architect's current level the level of the electrical fixtures changes and moves up from 50cm to 65cm. This seems to happen to all my elements in the model (15cm difference - up). What could be the reason and how do I solve it?

Thanks,

Hello,

By the images, the outlets have some linked element as a reference, it seems to be the face of a wall.

The elevation from level is changing because Revit is considering the wall face remains in the same place.

I don´t use face based families, so this is not a regular issue for me.

Yes indeed, the electrical fixtures are referenced to an architectural-linked model.

The electrical fixture is face-based and not wall-based, can you explain again the reason? not sure I understood.

Do you use Non-hosted families? Im thinking of changing families in our office to non-hosted. It's a REAL PAIN.

Thanks,

Hello,

Whenever your outlets should shift on the same plane as their host face, they may not move.

I am not sure if it happens with all categories but I have seen it happen from time to time.

Level-based, non-hosted families are much easier to use, especially to create copies of a group of components.
