IFC does not export with any settings

I am trying to export an IFC file from my Revit project and I can't.

I tried ALL possible settings and setups and it simply does not export. When I open the .ifc files, they are blank, or with a steel beam (no idea why), or two orange blocks.

I have really tested all possible settings during the whole day and nothing.

Please help!

(I am working on a Local File from the company server).

Try to figure out where the issue might be. One issue might be the size.

No error messages?

Then some troubleshooting....

Create a 3D view used for the IFC export

Use this setting in the IFC export settings:

1-In that view start hiding some categories and/or elements.

2-Try to export

Repeat 1 and 2 and see if at some point you are successful.

You also can try an other project and see if that works.

You also can try to export it from another PC and see if that works.

Do you use the IFC addin? Try it with or without that add-in installed.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

One other thing you might try is checking whether your default category mapping adheres to your Revit localisation. Despite using an American interface in Revit the default values for ifc classes always revert to the German Revit categories because that was the version originally installed. A close inspection of the ifc options will show whether you understand what is to go in which category but Revit does not. For instance Walls are set to <not exported> while (greyed out) Wände would be exported to be IfcWall. The exported ifc file will contain no wall at all.
