Duct/Pipe sizing in a model group

Am I missing something obvious, or can you not perform duct/pipe sizing when the duct is part of a model group? Normally the Sizing button shows up in the Modify|Ducts tab when you select the duct. However, when the duct is part of a model group, the button does not show up. Does Revit really not have this capability??

Hello @Anonymous,

As far as I know, there is no way to use the sizing functionality within Revit Groups.

You have to size them first and then group them, unfortunately.

You could ungroup one of the groups.

do the Size calculation and then edit one Group and change the dimensions based on your calculated ungrouped ducts. Then remove the first ungrouped parts and copy the just edited group back to the first position.
