Copy Monitor and Instance Parameters

I've noticed that Copy Monitor doesn't bring over instance parameter values in 2015 and earlier.  Is there a workaround for this?

Thank you,

Glen

We are seeing similar.  Trying to use Copy/Monitor properly, to allow the electrical department to keep track of the mechanical department's fan and pump motors.  Copy/Monitor does not seem to have much ability with the Type Mapping feature, so we just Copy original Type from mech into elec.

In the mech model, all parameter fields are filled with accurate values (voltage, phase, HP, etc.) and those parameters are scheduled.  The problem is, once the mechanical families are Copy/Monitored into the electrical model, all of the parameter values are stripped out.  The (blank) parameter fields appear to still be in the families that now live in the electrical model.   Then, when we bring in the pump schedule from the mech model to the elec model, then try to manually update the parameter values, nothing shows up in the schedule in the electrical model.

Of course, with autodesk, it is always user error, so what am I doing wrong?

Hello,

The problem happens even using Shared Parameters on the original family and copy/monitor family?
