Guys,

I don't have problem adding outlets and assign circuits for new project.

hnA_20230303_154305.jpg

For alterations and retrofit projects where panel and outlets already exist, matching circuit number from field data is a pain (for me).

Currently, for convenient, once tagged our outlet takes random available circuit number and report the room where it resides in the panel schedule (see attached). We then go into the panel to move that outlet circuit number around accordingly to field data. Switching between 3 things: editing panel schedule, electrical floor plan and field data...is a pain. Is there a way I can assign the circuit number right after I place its tag on plan ? As now, that field is uneditable from Properties tab.

(((Matching a schedule with items I already knew by heart took me 4 hrs...I can't afford this time consuming in next project. Gotta be a way, perhaps I just don't know yet))).

Thanks.

Hello,

Are you connecting the new circuits to the old panel, or did you create a new empty panel to connect them?

If you are using a new one, you can you the panel schedule to set space/spare to the existing circuits; this way, only the available ones will be assigned to the new circuits.

Hello,

You can´t edit it in a plan view, you can use multiple monitors to make editing easier, but no other option at the moment.
