HELP!

I have created a view template named as 'RCP' and applied this RCP template to my ceiling plans level 0 to 4. Whenever I make any changes in any floor, the new changes appear in other floors too. For example: I have 4 switches in level 0 and if I add a switch in level 2, that switch also appear in other level 0, 3,4. How can I prevent this? I want this 4 levels to have the same template 'RCP' but at the same time the changes of different floors will not appear in other floors. Is it possible or I need to make different templates for each floor? Please help.

Is it the view range extends into the other floors?

Rob

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

NO.

As @RobDraw says, check the view range settings.

Hi @RobDraw @iainsavage
Attached the screenshot of my view range of Level 1 below:

I can see the switches in Level 1

However, if I change the Top range to 'Associate Level U/S Level 1' to 2800 and cut plane range 1800, I do not see the switches anymore:

not sure what is going wrong.

If I change the Top range to 'Ex Level 2', I can see the switches again!

Typical RCP template view range.

Cut Plane should be below the ceiling level.

Top and View Depth should be at or below the floor above.

Why View Depth is Unlimited. Fix it.

@iainsavage
top and view depth offset will not be 0.

They are offset 0 from the Level Above.
