Hi everyone, we saw this post and we may have a solution for some of what you identified above. We too have struggled for years with having teams miss clouds on their drawings, or taking weeks or months to explain how extensive a "small" change really was to a client. We call our solution DeltaTrack.
This problem frustrated us (an architect and a contractor) enough that we partnered with a couple friends who are professional software developers, and built a solution for architects, engineers, and contractors that handles change tracking natively within Revit.
We just completed a beta program with about 30 users so far, and are looking to open it up to a few early access folks. Please direct message us if you are interested in joining the early access group.
Hi @Simon_Weel yes, there is. For a tracked Change (which can have modifications to many Revit elements) you can hover over the change and click on the magnify glass icon:
Clicking this will open a dialog showing you what changed, who changed it, and when:
If/when you guys get round to it ..... please make it simple. There may be different layers to this request. Sometimes you just want to see who is currently in the model. Maybe as quick as hovering over an icon.
If you are planning on doing something that will be as slow and cumbersome as the current "Manage Cloud Models" option, please don't bother - the snail speed basically renders it useless.
My name is Ashkan Niknam, and I am a Revit user specializing in architectural design. While working with Revit, I sometimes encounter situations where I create a floor tile and later accidentally draw another floor tile directly overlapping the previous one.
To address issues like this, I would like to suggest adding a feature in Revit that allows users to view the creation and modification timestamps for each element. Such a feature would significantly help in managing and troubleshooting projects more efficiently.
Thank you very much for considering my request. I look forward to hearing from you.
