Congrats! We think this is a great idea, so we've decided to add it to our roadmap. Thanks for the suggestion!
To follow the progress of features in development, please see the Revit Public Roadmap and join the Revit Preview Release to participate in feature testing. (Note that Accepted Ideas may not be immediately available.)
While Toposolid was not really a new feature for many of us considering that we’ve been doing this since 2015–16, converting surfaces to floors or mass elements and somehow see the effects of on performance this will bring on the model with the current Revit engine, what Autodesk needs to consider is bringing back the toposurface tools.
As a user, I am probably one of the last ones who should complain considering that we are still generating toposurfaces in Revit 2024 and 2025 just like in 2022 and 2023, even without the tools being on the Ribbon. However, for the greater good 🙂 Autodesk shouldn't have retired the toposurface tools and should have kept both toolsets for at least the next 4–5 versions. Or at least till we have a better rendering engine or till when Autodesk partners with Unity or Unreal to integrate their engine inside Revit (am I spoiling a surprise with such a prediction? 🤣)
