Spellcheck

Spellcheck

Spellcheck:

Step 1: Make an entire project spell-checkable.

Step 2: Make sheet, view, and type names spell-checkable.

Step 3: Make schedule contents spell-checkable.

Step 4: Fix the bug where an infinite loop is entered:

Consider the text elements:

Drg.

Drg

Drg

Upon changing 'Drg' to 'Drg.' and clicking 'Change All', an infinite loop is entered. The text needs to be iterated through once, not whatever is happening.

You know it makes sense!

Your right, and Revit 2018.2 still has this bug.  Tried it by typing the lines on a blank imperial template view, and you are right - it locks up like its in a infinite loop.  Tried it on another template stocked with stuff, and it still happens.

It's hard to guess where the programmers went wrong.  But I did notice that if I hit "Change" instead of "Change all", it still doesn't recognize the word.  So if I just keep hitting "Change", it just keeps adding periods to the end of one word.

My guess is that the program is doing something similar.  It just keeps seeing Drg. and changing it to Drg.., then it sees a new "Drg." inside the revised text, so it changes it to Drg..., and so on.

The bug is still there in Revit 2021.
