Allow dimension lines to read Rough Width / Height parameters of doors/ windows

Allow dimension lines to read Rough Width / Height parameters of doors/ windows

Idea logged by Autodesk Customer Support for German customer Ladislaus Wichert:

When dimensioning a wall, wall openings can be included in the dimension line with the openings height and width parameter.

Doors and windows have however more parameters related to their dimensions. There are rough height and width parameters in window/door families in order to specify raw building dimensions of the construction.

Please, enable Revit users to specify which parameters should be read by the dimension lines regarding wall openings.

Please, also enable to display those dimensions with a prefix or suffix.

It will be great to have a possibility to add the sill height parameter into the dimension, to see the window offset from a floor level.

Dies wäre mehr als hilfreich, die Parameter Rohbauhöhe / -breite und Höhe / Breite sind ja immer vorhanden.

Nice idea vote for!!!

There is issue though whereby most users want window referenced from head height as apposed to the current methodology of sill height as discussed in this idea

Make window head heights consistent - Autodesk Community

in order to make plan same as elevation same as schedule dimension needs to allow use of custom parameters unless they resolve the issue in the link

-EDIT-

This is relation to this part of the idea by @lukas-tunka showing the sill level, head level and  height in the floor plan dimension.
