Shortcut for turning on / turning off the Section Box
We have a keyboard shortcut for Section Box : BX. But it doesn't work for turning off the Section Box. It would be very useful to me to select an object, then Section Box it, edit the object, then turn off the Section box, select another object, Section Box it, and so on. Reusing the same view would save a lot of time.
@wr.marshall, See also this similar idea for a keyboard shortcut to turn off the Section Box. In my mind, if they could turn the current button into a toggle (on/off) and do the same for the shortcut (BX to activate, BX to turn it off), that would be the best of both worlds.
Autodesk should add a functionality where the inverse of BX should be XB. Currently, there is no way of using a keyboard shortcut for turning "off" BX. The only way is to manually uncheck the Section Box item in properties. But if we're already using BX as a shortcut key command, why can't we also add XB to reverse it? Similar to TW, the inverse is WT.
@jnokkeo-snow, please remember to search before posting. I searched "section box" and this was the 6th item in the list. Search "section box toggle" and it is the first thing that pops up.
It's amazing how many commands are missing from the Keyboard Shortcuts menu in Revit, in Autocad you could assign every single command to a shortcut, in Revit there are many commands that are not in the KS list. Coins addon could do it but it's not available in latest Revit versions. Autodesk, please learn from Autocad, include ALL commands to the KS, not just some of them because it's easier for programming reasons, you're Autodesk, the biggest in your kind, and that's really disappointing.
