Select Links Behavior to Also Disable Hosting to Linked Elements

When Select Links is turned off, Revit should also block elements from being hosted to linked models. At the moment, disabling Select Links prevents users from accidentally selecting links, but Revit still treats linked geometry as valid hosts when placing objects. This leads to elements unintentionally attaching to links instead of the active model.

Proposed Change
Extend the Select Links toggle to fully exclude links from interaction, not only selection. This includes preventing linked models from acting as hosts during element placement or modification.

Oh, boy...

An option like that to use the face of the link as host but at the same time revert that host to not associated, would be magic!!!

Right now I'm instructing our modelers to use auxiliary reference planes to host vertical elements and then delete them, to make sure we do not have stuff hosted on links, as they are always problematic because they are always moving on their own in ways that don't make any sense and should even be impossible in some cases (I even have odd behaviour happening only in the ACC viewer... totally crazy - I would not belive it if I did not see it with my own eyes). It's just so random that this feacture cannot be realiable - so it's better not to use it at all.

I also have a custom script to export to excel a list of all the families that still have the host on linked files (so you can imagine how big of a problem this is...)

Can I give 100+ votes to this one? We badly need it.
