Revit for Mac

Revit for Mac

*Note: This request has been addressed by our Product Teams in this Revit Public Roadmap FAQ.

Please start producing REVIT for Mac. It is a must have application for architecture students and the mac industry occupies a huge part of the computer industry. We really need the software.

At least people deserve true answer about they request, why it is impossible or possible but when.

@YarUnderoaker  Autodesk has reviewed this request and just like the backwards compatibility wishes, it clearly does not fit their business model, no matter how many votes or new threads get added to this board on those topics.

It’s going to be really useful,

@krzystoff The same was said about AutoCAD. It would never happen. It didn't fit their business model. And yet... pigs did fly.
I guarantee that the only reason why a bigger share of the market is PC users is because we HAVE to be PC users in order to properly use REVIT, which is quickly becoming the industry standard for CAD. I am one of these PC users. The ONLY reason why I use both a PC and Mac is because of these hold out PC only applications I need to use to do my job. I would much rather be on a Mac 100% of the time. I would happily pay for a new license or subscription if it meant I could finally retire my PC to the box of dead tech sitting in the back of my closet.

With Mac being the preferred platform for designers, it shouldn't be a difficult decision to support Mac natively. Windows simulators are a serious headache and rebooting to use one piece of software is a major cramp.

I can feel your frustration with the bootcamp I guess we have no other
option than put up with it

I was introduce to ArchiCAD and Chief Architect but it seem to me both work
like Sketchup

I think if you have a search, you'll find other ideas like this.

Aproveitem que MACOS agora é ARM e finalmente façam uma versão nativa. Muitos engenheiros e arquitetos deixam de comprar Mac por falta de Revit.

Gabriel,

in my case i opted for MacOS native BIM software. Autodesk is just for autocad…and now with the lack of bootcamp i guess this Will get more widespread.

I am also using a different BIM software. I think this is probably becoming more widespread as well and after a while auto desk will lose relevance on the Mac platform. It’s OK if they miss out I guess… It’s their prerogative to leave money on the table and let it be snatched up by other companies
