Could we add the option to add Structural Deck Profiles to a roof structure. the option is there for floor structures, it should be available for roof structures also. This will prevent modeling roofs as a floor just to get that profile to show up.
So for floors you can make the structural and are able to change parts of it to be controlled by a profile. I think you should be able to do the same thing for roofs, so for example if you have metal decking you can adjust the roof so when you cut a section it shows the metal decking profile.
I had a similar idea some time back but it got no votes. It does not seem to be an issue for the devotees. After all you can model them from structural beams. You need to keep the floor, too, because beams are not considered room bounding.
Please give us an option to create custom profiled metal roof and wall cladding. I've tried numerous work arounds such as curtain walls or applying face based profiles or voids, but nothing gives a satisfactory result, all have their downsides. Particularly when it comes to penetrations.

In certain circumstances, having the ability to apply a profile to the Finish [5] layer or a new Profile [6] layer similar to the Structural Deck [1] layer in floors would simplify work flow and add value in both detailing and rendering.
A new feature for roofing which will add a Roof Profile Layer in the roof structure options, that is similar to how Floor Deck Profiles are included in floor structure layers. This would allow for all sections to have a roof profile saving time for detailing and also allowing for a more efficient, faster model that isn't going to slow down.
