Modify the Room "Level" without deleting and replacing

Modify the Room "Level" without deleting and replacing

1. Modify the Room "Level" without deleting and replacing.

2. Make it possible to modify the computation height or allow positive "Base offset"

We are almost in each project obligated to create "fake levels" to get the levels well placed.(ex. sloped parking floors, small height differences in floors,...)

Whenever we need to correct the base limit of a room, we have to delete and create it at the correct level!

The "Level" parameter in the image below should not be locked by Revit, so we could make this change more easily.Room Level.JPG

Yes! This is an important item to have so that the room doesn't have to be deleted, and re-inserted.

If this is an immediate concern for you it is worth knowing that ARUtils has a routine to handle this situation - obviously not as good as having the ability built in to Revit.

Having created rooms on the wrong level the effort required to shift them to the intended level is time consuming. The routine also allows you do delete a level and have rooms (and any level dependent items) moved to a specified level.

After placing a room on a certain level. it would be nice to re-assign it's associated level to a new one. This would provide more flexibility when dealing with level subtle level changes within a project.

I would like Revit to comply with it's own user manual regarding positive values for room lower offsets.

This will reduce the number of levels needed just for some rooms a bit above the floor level.

Here you can see the user manual page where it says it is possible (when in reality is not):

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-lt/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2017/ENU/Revi...

Bellow you can see also another archived "idea" about the same:

Please vote for this. It shouldn't be that hard to make it happen.

This would be a great feature, and seems like it would be a high priority, but given the fact that this thread is 3 years old I guess not.

Given that the OP is now Anonymous is also a hint to the importance of this bug fix idea.

When implementing point 1, make sure we can copy-monitor room to space because then the space should also move with the room, without us having to always delete all spaces e recreate them when ARQ goes crazy and changes everything by a lot.
