Make common edges invisible for a view

Make common edges invisible for a view

Revit shows edges even if it is not a geometrical edge, but only a transition between different materials, for example edges generated between columns and ceilings, if they have different concrete grades.

WISH: The ability to control whether Revit should display only geometric edges or material changes - if possible both global control and view-specific overwritable - possibly also via control in view templates.

RESULT: Plans can be displayed correctly without extensive reworking. 3D views may appear "cleaner" in their appearance without "edges" that are not edges.

I just saw a video clip in which someone showed that you make a new line type and give that the colour white. The presenter continued with the LW tool and simply wiped out the unnecessary lines. Your proposal is still worth a vote.

Indeed, edges between coplanar surfaces are just egdes if there is a change of material. Would avoid anoying cleaning work. Great idea.
