Floor Plan North Marker

Floor Plan North Marker

3D views have 3D cube. The 3D cube shows North & East & West & South markers. Why not have a similar tool in floor plan views? We would like to see where the North is. It could be a 2D presentation which is not going to be printed and can be turned off.... It is very basic and useful tool when working in plan views....

Isn't that what Project North and True North are for? Place a marker of your choosing in True North  orientation and you'll see it in Project North. No need for a new feature.

If you only want to see were the north is, then you can turn on Survey Point; only thing is you have to go to the survey point location to see. But I'm agree with Tomek, with True North and Project North parameter in a view property you can determine were the north is (vertical axis of the view in true north).

Here is some clarification why we would like to have this.

We annotate North on sheets, not views- so that its position is always at the same place.

True North and Pr Base North give the info, but you have to click on it, not to mention that you have to zoom out.

This could be some light feature which always show the north no matter what you do and in what level of detail. There would be no need for zooming etc...

@Ilic.Andrej, Right, I see now what you're asking for. It seems reasonable in the context of working on really large plans where once you're zoomed in up close it can be difficult to orient the plan in your head.
