How does this have so many likes and comments o.O Like sure, more options for for revision clouds could be nice but is it really something that bothers you on a daily basis?? On my list of gripes i have with revit, the way revision cloud arcs are equal or inequal is on the absolute last spot on the list.
Can't wait for this to be the blockbuster feature for Revit 2028 while we still can't freely manipulate the individual wall or floor layers, the stair and railing tool is still waiting on its rework for eternity and easy to use framing tools are still nowhere to be seen.
I think were all getting too worked up over a cloud lol. I had our Civil team ask me what's the standard arc size and length for a cloud? I said why? It doesn't need a standard, it just needs to look cloud-like and help your client see where changes have been made. When you draw a Revision Cloud just split the line however many times you want and the cloud is instantly smaller. When I draw clouds I click with short lines or I use the default rectangle and split the lines. So maybe we could have a split function similar to how "divide" works in CAD and then the user can decide how many splits per line which would dictate the size of the cloud. That would save time on splitting.
[It just needs to look cloud-like] works right up until you’re coordinating across teams, standards, and revision histories.
The request isn’t because we can’t draw clouds—it’s because we shouldn’t have to keep manually faking something the software could handle properly in seconds.
