Does Revit server only connect by local lan only?

Dear All,

Case 1:

If i setup revit server in my office LAn nework. Other parties,those are not in my office, can or cannot to access my office revit server through internet ?

Case 2:

If i have been setup a revit server as accelerator in my office, how to connect to other revit host model server through internet ?
