Categorize Tabbed Views

The new tabbed views feature in Revit 2019 is great! Thank you for it.

It is a bit confusing when you have multiple project files open. You might have views in different projects that are the same name. It would be great if you can categorize the tabs per project by using color coding for example.

We really need a method of recognizing which open tabs belong to the same project.

This is really important for us too. Pyrevit is not stable at all when you have multiple plugins installed. Autodesk should have this color option by default, it's so simple why can't they add this ?

It's a great idea. And I suppose, that's easy to deliver. In PyRevit we have this possibility already.

Wish Revit had this feature natively, but pyRevit does wonders with its tab coloring. The only thing that's missing is the ability to color tabs by project instead of by time opened and the ability to group tabs by project.

Currently all views open in the same row with no differentiation as to which project or family they belong to. I propose to seperate the opened views into rows. One row per opened file with its opened views.

This would make navigation between projects and families mich easier.

I don't know if it's already been mentioned, but there is a tangent idea out there that I just ran across about color coding the QAT as well.  I think that would be an excellent idea as well and I just wanted to give it some love.

When working on multiple projects simultaneously, allow view tabs to be color-coded per project so it is immediately clear which views belong to which project.

Just because pyrevit already provides this does not mean it should never be implemented into vanilla revit. @nele_ritzen check https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-ideas/coloured-tabs-for-different-opened-models/idi-p/12714524 and https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-ideas/categorize-tabbed-views/idi-p/8023716. I did not vote for the last one, because it would also mean approval for tabs in general which I do not.

@MiWolff, I'm not sure what you mean by "approval for tabs in general"...  are you saying you don't approve of the tabs?

Colored Tab will be useful for same file because we are dealing with edit family, load into project stuff, creating nested family etc.. +1 for colored tab feature, this suggestion is underrated since 2019 but we hope for future development year 2028. Good Job and keep up the good work 😊

Hallo Zusammen,

ich fände es deutlich praktischer, wenn die Ansichtsregisterkarten nach einzelnen Modellen getrennt wären. Konkret meine ich damit, dass es zwei oder mehr Zeilen geben sollte, in denen die Pläne jeweils pro Modell separat dargestellt werden
