Batch Reload Links

Batch Reload Links

It would be really helpful when you are updating linked files like PDFs that you could select all of them and be able to change the source path all at once. If that is not possible, it could be a dialog box like when updating xref's in cad where it asks you if you would like to update the same path for other files in the same root folder. Some of our consultants don't use Revit so we link their PDF's into our file so we can print all at once. When they update their plans we have to go back through one by one. Revit is slow processing this and it is very tedious.

We are pleased to say that this has been implemented in Revit 2025.2! Thank you for your contribution to improving Revit!

@kimberly_fuhrman-jonesMy idea was not implemented. Unless I am doing something wrong you can not select multiple PDF files at the same time and change the source path. You still have to select each file individually and remap every instance. So a 10 page PDF has to be remapped 10 times instead of selecting all 10 pages and reloading them all at once since they are all directing to the same source path. Could you either show me what how this is possible, or change the status of my idea so it can still be implemented in the future?

Thank you

Hi @leahmbell ! You are absolutely right — this capability of batch repathing or batch reload from is not implemented yet. What's implemented is the ability to batch reload links of the same data type without appointing a new path. I apologize for the confusion. However, I can assure you that it is one of the top requests for Manage Links that we already noted. We will look into its feasibility in the future.
