This also lead to have a lot of clashes showing up, for example between structural columns and architectural walls , ceilings, floors, because ther eis not a way to cut around the columns or simple joint the elements so that the clash detections software do not detect it as a clash.

In public procurement projects using BIM, there is a requirement to have separate native models, which means we need 4–7 different models for a single building, including a structural model. The biggest problem is that when connecting the structural model to the architectural model (where the main architectural drawings are generated), the geometries cannot be merged, and the drawings are not representative at all; we have to manually trace them with lines and masking areas to make the drawings look the way they should.
