Ability to assign a DWG export layer to Cut Pattern and Surface Pattern for Structural elements in Revit.

Ability to assign a DWG export layer to Cut Pattern and Surface Pattern for Structural elements in Revit.

Currently, when exporting to DWG from Revit, the Cut/Surface Pattern of Structural Framings, Foundations, Columns is placed in the same layer as the structure itself. It should be possible to assign a separate DWG layer to the Cut/Surface Pattern for these structural elements, like it is possible for Walls and Floors.

This option will make working in Revit-exported DWGs easier for the users, as the visibility, color, and pattern of the hatch layer will be controlled directly from AutoCAD.

Would like this for all categories, not just structural elements. Current workaround is to export overrides as new layer but this increases number of layers and also provides no clue as to which layer is for the hatch pattern(s) because the new layers simply get a numerical suffix (e.g. Q-CASE-1, Q-CASE-2, Q-CASE-3, etc.).

Would be far easier if every category had a dedicated pattern layer option, not just the system family categories.
