Perhaps check in VG/template if section annotation is set to halftone.

Do you have two views on the sheet? The sections maybe in the other view.

Are the section marks in a linked model?

Share the model to eliminate all the guessing.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

it may be due to the Discipline assigned to the section tag being different to the discipline assigned to the view

select the section tag, confirm the discipline is correct in matching the discipline of the view you see it in.

when I change my discipline to Structural my section tag disappears by deign of our View templates

check your Phasing also

I would adjust this under object styles... increase your line-weight for sections to something that will look better when you plot, I have mine set to 4 or 5 I think.  Verify under VG that you don't have any overrides for the section category in your views.

You don't know what Template Setting was making the Section Marks look halftone?  I would be curious to know.  Can you post the file with that Template?
