Wall Reveal - Structure

hello everybody,

i am trying to apply a reveal profile to a wall which has a 18cm+1,5cm structure.

i want the exterior layer (1,5cm) to follow the reveal-profile (2cm). is it possible or i should try modeling in place?

Thanks!!

I would use Cut Profile or filled region to fix large scale detail drawings only and leave small scale sections alone.

I would add the reveal in the wall and then add a 'model in place' sweep in the same place with the the shape you need at thickness of the layer and the same material.

Although I guess if you created a profile you could just add the sweep in the wall with the reveal.

or you could just add the detail as lines in your section.

maybe you could try to add a sweep with same material at same location as the reveal?

This would be the approach I would try to. Probably cause the least amount of problems in the long run, and would probably be the quickest solution too.

I'm kind of thinking along the same lines as most of you, except I might do it as a line-based family with an unattached void in it to cut the project wall ("Cut with Void when Loaded"). My two-cents worth.
