Wall-based family not working correctly

Hi,

I am making a wall based family. It is an angle bracket that is embedded at the top corner of the wall like this:

I'm having a hard time controlling the placement of the family. I can't achieve the flush face condition using the align or move tools.

Once I get this to work, I would like to add a void so that it cuts the concrete rather than overlapping. But that's the next step.

Thank you..

...bump. Got it.

I would do this as a Face-Based Family.  Be a whole lot easier.

Edit the profile and lock the line to the face of wall.

After placing it on a wall in the project, use align tool to align the top of the plate with the top of the host wall.

What about in the Wall Type?

Just a thought.  Maybe not the direction to go for gussets.

What about a parametric Face-Based Gusset that cuts Wall as well?  Interested?
