Void cut out not showing up in in plan.

Here is a sink model with a void cut out.

The problem is the cut out isn't showing up in the plan.

It the geometry even visible in Plan/RCP?  Check you Visibility Settings in the Family. I bet you only have a Masking Region visible.  

 

...if you don't want Geometry visible in Plan/RCP, you can align and lock Symbolic Lines to the edges of the Void.  FWIW.

Yeah what @barthbradley said, You'll have a masking region inside your worktop family you'll need to edit to get the void to show.
