Visibility issue for linked Revit file

we have architecture walls from a linked file and structural columns from another linked file

in normal case we can split walls around the column but in linked file case we know that we can't edit walls without opening Revit link file, so is there any way to edit the Visibility to hide the wall in the area of intersection between the two elements

You can't hide them because technically it is an interference and must be solved where appropriate.

The only way to fake "hide" walls is to blacken the columns.

you can try this.... might be more trouble than its worth depending on how many you have.

  • Copy Monitor the Column, and walls if needed, from the links.
  • Once there Copy Monitored, tab select the items in the link that were copy monitored and Hide in View.
