Trying to override this wall using EOD while all walls in the view are set to halftone, but it doesn't register the override. Can one not override a category-wide halftone?

Have you selected the Wall then typed EOD?

I can override a Halftone Wall with a Graphical Override for this View - is this what you are looking at?

Also if it is in a linked file it you need to tab to select it but will act differently than a wall directly in the model.

Is there a linked file in your model as this shows grey?

Also check you have no Filters applied to the View (from which he Visibility Graphics > Filter Tab)

since this is the Architectural Forum and you're trying to override a Wall.... is that wall in a different phase? as in your View is set to New Construction and the wall is in the Existing phase?

or as @jay_colcombe suggests, is that wall coming from a Link?

Then as @hmunsell @suggested check Phases,

Also Look at Discipline in the Properties palette and finally object styles?

I think we are looking at this wrong, it’s the black line that’s the issue, can you Tab Key and cycle through to see exactly what it is related to it should give an indication in a properties pop out window

I think that your override is still showing a halftone green.

Yes, if you look at my images I set halftone using VG (Visibility Graphics)

Then in the View I selected the wall > Right Click > Override Graphics in View by Element. (You can even halftone it again here!)
I picked a transparent Green using the Colour Slider and pushing the slider on the right to the Top
