I've had a look around online and can't find a decent tutorial on lookup tables.
As a test family, I'm trying to get the Width, Height and YESNO parameters to be populated as per the TEST_LUT lookup table, depending on what is in the Lookup Value parameter.
From what I can gather from the tutorials I've seen, Revit isn't able to handle this?
Can someone please advise otherwise?
First question....Why do you wan to use lookup tables? Lookup tables are most commonly used for MEP families. Not all units can be used in lookup tables.
Have you looked at type catalogs? This possibly a better solution to your problem.
If you can give a better description of what you try to accomplish we might be able to give you better advice

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
I'm primarily just trying to learn how to be even more efficient in Revit.
I have a linked MEP link in a project with Buildings Workholes modelled in, and I need to schedule them out to produce a lintel schedule. This pointed me towards lookup tables (I've used lookup tables a lot in excel, and key schedules a lot in Revit) so wondered if they could aid me elsewhere.
I haven't used Type Catalogs at all, so I will have to look into that.
