Upgrading Revit Template

Hi,

we want to upgrade our company's Revit from 2017 to 2019. what is the best way to move our company's template to 2019? Do we have to re-create our template in 2019 or can we upgrade our 2017 in 2019 without loosing any 2019 functionality

Thanks,

Just open the Template in 2019 and save. The add the file path from 2019 to the new Template.

In saying that, I like to keep our Office Template at least 1 version behind.

Have a proper nomenclature for all the files..

ex

Template_highrise_2017.rte

Template_highrise_2018.rte

Template_highrise_2019.rte

The name should suggest and help users for their respective version..

For most objects it will just work fine.

At least, stairs, railings and materials got an upgrade. Maybe it is best to remodel these.
