Multi Building Project Setup

I am working on a project which has 3 buildings in it. I made a project for each of these buildings then I made a project called 'main' that has the site topography, fences, retaining walls and parking in it. All my buildings are then linked into this main project and moved into the right spot. I am now working on making elevations for each building from the main project and having a hard time getting the levels to be how I want them. (See pic) I want to just drag the levels over and drop the text on some of them where its crowded as I would normally but because its a linked file I don't seem to be able to do this. Is there a way to have greater control over the levels? Is it even smart to setup the project the way I did?

Nothing wrong with your setup, but I don't understand what you're having difficulty doing.  Sounds like it relates to displaying Link "By Linked View" in your host Elevation View.

If you look at this screenshot you'll see I'd like to pull these levels out and separate the ones that are too close.

Don't use the Link's Levels then. Replace them with Host Levels and turn the Link Levels off in the Host view.  Or, correct at the source.  You know you can Link "By Linked View" also; right?

Ok that should work. Not familiar with linked views but I'll check it out. Thanks!
