Unable to open the revit model but everyone else on the team can

As of last Friday, I have been unable to open the revit model.  But everyone else on the team can.

When attempting to open the file, the open sequence will stop at 64% and then I end up having to close the program through the task manager.

I have already deleted my local and try to reopen, rebooted my station, and attempt to open an earlier version of the file.  I have been able to open an earlier version of the model and I have also been able to open others files.

Any suggestions?

Try to eliminate all possible causes.

Start by making a detached version saved to your desktop. If it opens, it's most likely a network connection issue.

If your model is hosted on BIM 360 you can try clearing your cache.

Also I find that I can usually open a model if I close all worksets using the Specify option in the Open dialog. Afterward I can open the worksets. Quite often this process reveals that there is a problem with a linked model and the opening sequence is delayed significantly because of the linked file.

If the local copy of the model will not open, here are some other items to test:

If the info above does not lead to a solution, could you post a copy of the journal recorded when opening the model?

This model is not on BIM360 ... and I was unable to get the Open Workset dialogue box to open ... but we found that through the workshare monitor that it showed that i was in the model 14 times

I've seen the worksharing redundancy. That's a network issue. There's some sort of instability happening.

Our IT fixed it … it ended up being a windows update mishap
