trusses

Hi, just just wondering if anyone can suggest a way  to create  trusses like the ones marked with red?

Hard to tell what you are pointing out. Looks like you are pointing to webs. which is what you would use in the Truss Family Template.  Can you post some other pictures.  BTW, are you specifically referring to a Truss Family?  Or are you looking for an alternative?

It is the same truss as what you already have without the overhang and with fewer bays.

Hi B, thanks for your response. i am trying to create the triangular rafters/trusses shown with the red hand drawn lines. i tried to create them with the truss family but they are impossible to align and move around correctly.  i am happy to use any method to create them, doesn't need to be necessary a truss family. I'm extremely open to any alternatives.

I'd probably use Edit Profile.  Can you post the file?

Just use a standard Pratt Flat Truss, change the Max Panel Width in the project, and Attach it to a Roof to get the slope of the top chords.  If you don't have a roof then you can Edit profile and manually draw the sloped top chords.

you can try model in-place extrusion or sweep. extrusion you can join geometry. thanks
